$1,000,000 Settlement : Family Holds Bronx Hospital Accountable

When their 65-year-old single mother passed away from a heart attack after being released from a Bronx Hospital where she went with chest palpitations, they knew something went wrong. They called Jacoby & Meyers to investigate whether the hospital committed medical malpractice. After obtaining all of her records and consulting with a heart specialist, we confirmed the hospital and their doctors deviated from the generally accepted standard of medical care by not admitting her promptly to the hospital.
